Dear Devin Felix:

After reading your story entitled ‘Local Economic Growth Slows’,

I feel compelled to inform you on the benefits Cache Valley Area Investors Association (CVAIA) has to offer.

I am the public relations specialist for CVAIA and feel it is becoming increasingly important that the general public learns how to become financially independent.

Once financial independence has been achieved, you can spend your time obligation free as far as finances are concerned. Being financially independent allows you to work for the enjoyment of your profession rather than the need for money.

One way CVAIA educates people on investing is by having guest speakers who speak on topics such as banking, lending, the economy, regulations and credit.

CVAIA meets every other Thursday in the Cache Chamber of Commerce on 160 N. Main St. at 7 p.m. The meetings are free and open to anyone.

Letter to Cousin

Dear Matt,

In a nutshell, public relations (PR) is communicating information. But unlike a nutshell, public relations has many factors and variables.

For example, you can’t just share any information to anyone; in PR you need to tailor the message for particular media in a way that is suitable for that specific public. Then, communicate the message back to the organization in an effective and efficient way.

More then sharing information, "A public relations writer is responsible for helping an organization establish and maintain good relationships with its publics" (Public Relations Writing: Form and Style, Newsom and Haynes).

When communicating to the public a PR specialist must be persuasive and understandable while maintaining credibility to the organization. Also, it is important that a PR specialist must know what and when to communicate as well as to whom.

Public relations specialists write about all kinds of information. Information about politics, sports, products, events, reports, opinions and so on. Also, the information can be sent to internal or external publics, thus changing what and how the information is written.

Love,

Cousin Ryan

Hello World

Hey. Hi. Howdy. OK, so wow, what an exciting summer I had. Beaches, pool parties, Hollywood clubs and music videos are just a few of the exciting activities I caught myself doing. But, finally the time of play and adventure has come to an end. But not in the saddest way, nay, in a whole new way with new doors leading to places only imaginable for those who have the earnest desire to seek it. And I, that's right I, am in the search for an entire new and exciting Something that will lead me to where I belong...
